  • Welcome to my blog!

Congratulations to Ashley and James

Come what may
Come what may
I will love you until my dying day

Never knew I could feel like this
Like I’ve never seen the sky before
I want to vanish inside your kiss
Every day I love you more and more
Listen to my heart, can you hear it sings
Telling me to give you everything
Seasons may change, winter to spring
But I love you until the end of time

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Lantis! It was a beautiful day to celebrate your new union and I can’t wait to share the photographs.

Love Shoot: Stacy & Tom

Who says hockey is only for boys? Stacy proved it wrong by becoming a mega female hockey player and additionaly to all her hockey trophies, she scored another big prize – Tom! They met while playing hockey in the same ring and they have been together even since. I pretty much believe that if you do one thing very well, you do everything pretty well! Here it goes for Stacy: finish graduate school with a 4.0 GPA, rock at hockey, tough it out while  hiking, master the target shooting, and almost master  the cooking! I don’t know what you think, but I think that Tom hit his own jackpot when he met Stacy!

You’ve probably heard the saying about how opposites attract. Well, Stacy and Tom are a living proof that similarities attract even more!

These adorable people are getting married in a week at a beautiful Spruce Mountain Ranch and we can’t wait to snip and snap more gorgeous pictures of them!

It was raining pretty badly that day, not to mention the gusty winds. But since these guys are tough cookies, we kept on photographing through the rain. To be honest, that’s the best weather for me to be in! Fish in a pond, ladies and gentleman. That’s what I was that day. Literally!

Stacy, you are gorgeous!

Birthday and July madness

Internet, I am officially 30 today! I guess those days when I longed to turn 18 and wanted to grow up very fast to conquer the world with a quick sweep of my hands are long gone. Never thought I would actually miss what I left behind many, many years ago as a child. Though life goes on and it hasn’t treated me bad at all, there is always some room to be nostalgic, right? So, I reflect. Every year I look back and reflect on my mistakes, shortcomings and I promise myself to do better and to be a better person. Today though, I want to look into my future. I want to pray for my family and friends who are my biggest supporters in life and wish them health and wealth they deserve…

Here I am 30 years old, exactly 30 weeks pregnant with our third child, doing what I love and anxious to see what life is yet to bring my way. Though I constantly pray they be some positive things, life is not without bumps and there is no escape from it. Yet I am thankful to God that he has bestowed upon me is a blessing. Blessing of having a healthy family and prosperous environment. I hope he also gives me strengths and bright mind to never take advantage of what I have and gives me wisdom to always pay it forward. My life is a gift and I intend to cherish it till I die.

Talking about gifts;  my very considerate husband got me this beautiful camera bag that I’ve been dreaming of getting for a year now! It is a SHE, ONA  (‘Ona’ means ‘She’ in Russian) bag and she is a queen of all the bag for me out there. I have not tested her on the field yet, but I intend to do so as soon as possible. My beautiful bag also came along with Nikkor 50mm f/1.8G. I needed a second 50mm and it arrived just on time and I am not surprised that it arrived on my birthday!

Stefan - Happy birthday!!! Did it hurt to pass the “magic” line? 🙂

First, I followed your blog now for a while and like your photos!

Just let me drop a question: Why not a 50 1.4G? It’s my second ever used lens for portraits and weddings after the 85 1.4.

For around 330$ you can’t do anything wrong with it. Much better bokeh, focus and sharpness than the 1.8.

Just my two cents!

Anna - Happy Birthday Lola! Wishing you many, many years of health, joy, and prosperity. Congratulations with the impending arrival of the newest member of your family. 🙂

John Taylor - Happy Birthday Lola !

We also bought a second 50mm lens and the 1.8g version. I find it more accurate focusing than the 1.4g with equal bokeh and sharpness for a fraction of the 1.4 price.

Enjoy your gifts
