Kristi and Don: Wedding

Laughter of the best men was breaking the tension in both Groom and Bride preparation rooms. Somehow, hearing Don’s voice was putting Kristi’s mind at ease and kept reminding her that she made the right choice. There was a clear excitement in the air and there was no room for confusion, regret or second thinking. That’s what a real wedding and a real love is about.

My favorite couple opted for a small, very cozy, all-about-bride-and-groom wedding. I’ll tell ya, I loved every second of it. Comfort is what makes a wedding a great wedding. Happiness pouring from Kristi and Don was felt by every single person who attended their lovely ceremony. After the ceremony, we were invited to share their happiness in a very nice restaurant. Not only did we love their company, but we were also thrilled to find such smart and down to earth people. Don mentioned one thing to make this night a very special night for all of us: “while looking for photographers, we met new friends”, he said. Likewise Don, we are blessed to get to know people like yourself and Kristi.

We thank both Kristi and Don for trusting us to document their special day. Both Nasim and I wish them happiness, health and prosperity.

These are some of our favorite shots from the day:

Очень концептуальная работа, где “Kristi is behind a rock”.

Колоритная работа – “Door to their future”.

Kristi - Hi Lola!

We received the disc the other day. Thank you so much for the beautiful card! 🙂

Would it be at all possible for you to send a new disc? I think the disc got corrupted somehow. We’re unable to view it on our PC. Don took it to work and while he was able to view it eventually it took several tries.

Thanks so much for your help! I’m dying to see all of your hard work and it’s like a big tease that I can’t. 😉

September 19, 2009 - 5:26 pm

Kristi - Nevermind, Lola! 🙂 I got the disc to work. I’m still making my way through the photos and am absolutely loving what I’m seeing. Having such amazing photos makes me so happy!

I’ll be in touch very soon.

January 7, 2010 - 5:39 pm

Don - I think this is one of the most interesting statements made! I didn’t know how to take it at first and then after working on the translation for weeks now, discover that is one of the nicest compliments! I hope I got the translation correct!

Translated: The most interesting is the choice of the moment and the time filming. That is the late afternoon. Sunset. And the second half of the day with an accuracy reflects the age of the bride and groom. After all, they, too, as if they were celebrating a wedding at the sunset of his life. Yes, the sunset! But what a beautiful and unforgettable sunset!

Thanks You! You are right…..what a beautiful and unforgettable sunset!

June 11, 2010 - 10:01 pm

Ding - Lola, You have a way of capturing the special moment: smile, eyes and facial expression. The shallow depth of field makes all that possible. I have been visiting and analyzing both of your pictures, hoping that I will learn. Thanks for sharing.

June 16, 2010 - 10:03 pm

Nasim Mansurov - Don, I have just noticed your comment 🙂 I hope you guys are doing great.

Yes, your translation is very accurate – his comment was very positive towards you and Kristi.

June 16, 2010 - 10:05 pm

Nasim Mansurov - Ding, thank you so much for your feedback! Yes, I do like lenses that produce beautiful bokeh and both 50mm and 85mm lenses are my favorites, especially for weddings 🙂

Sincerely,
Lola

Irina and Max: Anytime

They were from the same city, went to the same university and had the same professor. Due to family circumstances, Max had to leave his hometown and moved to the United States. Time traveled, years passed, but their destiny was still tied and it would soon let know of itself.

After Max graduated from a university in the United States, he decided to visit his grandfather in Tashkent. Max’s grandfather was (and still is) a professor at a university where he studied prior to moving to US. Their story starts to unfold from that point. With his grandfather’s guidance Max met Irina, who happened to be one of the best students of his grandfather. They instantly fell in love with each other. Max met that one girl, who lived in the same town, went to the same university and had the same professor, who would later become her grandfather-in-law…

Here they are, still going strong. They are an amazing, energetic, smart and beautiful couple, who we had a lot of fun taking pictures of. The photo shoot was one of the longest we’ve had so far, thanks to their patience, creativity and willingness to experiment with newbies like us 🙂 Thank you Irina and Max, you are the best!!!

Jade: Portraits

Meet Jade! This fabulous young lady is an outstanding dancer with a bright future. Her character, charisma and her charm definitely compliment her name. Aside from being a dancer, I think Jade can be a very good model. Just look at her adorable face and her fantastic smile!

We are currently working on Jade’s composition cards for a talent agency. Between head shots and agency guidelines, we did find some time to have fun with the light and get creative.

Roxana and Karim: Anytime

Ever since Roxana and Karim met each other, they have been bonding more and more, despite the fact that they live in two different countries and see each other only occasionally…

Right around the corner is the day when she is going to be departing for another journey, stretching the strong and infinite ribbon of love between them. He will wish a safe flight to her one more time and will promise to be there at designated time, at designated location. Even though it is several months from now, even though there might be obstacles, she knows he will be there.

In honor of your big love and strong relationship, let us present you this bouquet of photographs to help you remember where you’ve been and to help you look forward for the day you will meet again in the land of pure romance – France!
