Denver Egagement Photography: Larisa and Alex

Larisa and Alex are one of our favorite Denver couples Nasim and I got to photograph this year. Funny, happy and very, very loving is the least I can say about them. We had an amazing half-time engagement session close to Roxborough State Park. Consider this post as sort of a sneak peek that I usually post. We are meeting them soon for another session as we have a lot of other fabulous ideas for their engagement photography.

How they met is a one of a kind story. Of course everyone has a one of a kind story (including Nasim and I) but you just have to read this one. So, stay absolutely tuned!

Denver Engagement Photography, here we come!

Laura: Bridal Preparation

This post is dedicated to my new friend Laura, who recently got married at Denver Botanical Gardens. Laura asked me if I could photograph her bridal preparation for the big day. I gladly agreed and snapped some candid shots of the process. Although Laura lives and works in NY now, I admire the fact that she decided to get married in Denver, her home town. She also didn’t forget to please her fiancΓ© Sushant by planning a wedding in India πŸ™‚

Laura got ready at Oxford Club, Salon and Spa.

Anastasia and Artem: Georgetown Wedding

Anastasia and Artem #1

OK, Fellas! I have a lot of pictures today. Just because these fantabulous people are our very good friends, I decided to go over the limits imposed by my husband. I am also planning to post the second part from this exact wedding. Frankly, I had so many favorites, it was hard enough to narrow it down to this post.

Nasim met Artem while studying at the University of Colorado at Boulder. They lived at the same dorm but didn’t know that they both spoke Russian for quite some time!

Anastasia and Artem met online, just like me and my husband πŸ™‚ But they quickly realized that they met each other once before at a party organized by Nasim! Nastya has a picture to prove it. Coincidence anyone? Or maybe plain destiny…

Bekhzod - Beautiful pictures! Great photography! By the way, what’s the meaning of sand caremony?

August 13, 2010 - 3:37 am

Miruna - Hello!I have a question for you…What kind of lenses did you use? Those pictures are gorgeous!

Kind regards,
Miruna

August 13, 2010 - 8:11 am

Anastasia - The meaning of the Sand ceremony is that bride and groom are uniting their lives from two different vessels or walks of life into a single unity as a family and if there is a disagreement to ever arise, each party should take their own sand from the jar( which is close to impossible). The origin of the sand ceremony is a salt covenant, when in old old days people would seal the agreement with mixing of the salt.

Erica and Brett: Manitou Springs Wedding

Nasim and I recently had an amazing opportunity to shoot Erica and Brett’s Manitou Springs Wedding. The wedding venue Craftwood Inn , was off the roof. I really liked the rustic details and Victorian style feel in every room. One thing for sure, we had a very hard time choosing our favorites from over 2500 images we took.
