Erica and Brett: Manitou Springs Wedding

Nasim and I recently had an amazing opportunity to shoot Erica and Brett’s Manitou Springs Wedding. The wedding venue Craftwood Inn , was off the roof. I really liked the rustic details and Victorian style feel in every room. One thing for sure, we had a very hard time choosing our favorites from over 2500 images we took.

For me it is absolutely essential to make sure my bride is not camera shy. But I didn’t even have to make Erica comfortable! She is a natural as they come. Her mother said  that growing up Erica was always a “model girl” and she knew what to do when to do. This was true during the wedding photo shoot, too. What I really loved about Erica is that she listened to me and I listened to her. Brett? Nothing less of a miracle! All four of us (Nasim, I, Erica and Brett) made a great team:)

Erica’s sisters helped her get ready. Hair, make up, helping to organize the event was all done by the her sisters Heather and Anna.

Sir Jonny The Great! Best man of Brett, the groom. It is because of him Erica and Brett are getting married. It is he who introduced them. Although his intention was probably not to marry them, but to quickly move Erica’s furniture to a new place.

Erica and Brett #6Every groomsmen got a little personalized present from Brett. Every one of them loved it. Hey, I have would love it, too…if I were a guy:)

My absolutely favorite flower girl! Elegant, pretty and so smart. Looking at Kyliegh I want to have a little girl, too. Adorable!

Mother of the bride and beautiful bridesmaids couldn’t look any better!

Erica and Brett opted for a first look and I am in love with their decision. Nothing gives more assurance before the ceremony knowing that one person you are marrying (that is to see them in a tux or a wedding gown:)

“No kisses yet”, said Erica. “OK, one kiss to the cheek!” Brett agreed. That’s right. No stressing the bride out right before the ceremony. Brett knows how to make Erica feel comfortable.

Who would have thought scouting around the area would give us such a surprise. A camel? I say, this is a great way to remember a wedding day.

Erica and Brett #35I loved Erica’s tattoo and asked her to pose for me with it. This tattoo is very special to her and her two sisters. It is dedicated to Erica’s late father. What is it about? I will ask Erica to write a separate post for our blog :)
