The idea for this shoot came from Denver’s local Bella Bridesmaid shop owner, Rae Ann Wheeler. As the owner of one of the busiest dress shops in town, she often encounters bridesmaids who buy gorgeous dresses for their friend’s wedding, but don’t know how they can wear them again after the wedding.
In one of the ISES meetings, she discussed this subject with a couple of industry professionals, including myself. During the discussion, we decided we could inspire these women to make the most of their gown by creating a story about transforming a bridesmaid gown to a dress that could be worn after the wedding.
With some very minor details like a change of jewelry and adding cute accessories, our stylist, Tina Gill, was able to transform the bridesmaid dresses into beautiful casual and fun styles.
All of our local Denver vendors rocked the show with their amazing creations. I was so honored to be part of this photo shoot. We couldn’t have done it without our beautiful models Leeza, Katya, Hillary, Audrey (who happens to be a photographer), Angel and amazing Mia!
While you might have an idea of what to do with the bridesmaid dresses after the wedding, also pick up some ideas for the actual bridesmaid dresses from our designer. It is all in the details!
