Dan and Andrea owe their meeting to one person, Corrie Quinn Dreher. Corrie is Andrea’s oldest friend (since she was 4!), and before moving to Alaska, was a social worker in Denver, sharing an office with Dan. After realizing that both Dan and Andrea would not stop talking about their obsession with the semi-obscure band Swell Season, among other mutual interests, she decided to remotely introduce them. They emailed a couple of times and met in person a couple of months later during one of Andrea’s visits to see Corrie in Denver in early 2008. Needless to say, they hit it off. The first date of Cajun breakfast, Red Rocks and a brewery tour, was followed by a few months of long distance. Neither of them being a fan of long distance, Andrea moved to Denver in September 2008 and as they say, the rest is history. On March 21st, Andrea walked down the aisle to a Swell Season song, which they thought was only appropriate, to marry Dan at Wild Basin Lodge, high up in the Rocky Mountains… And of course Corrie was a bridesmaid!![]()
Despite the little cold and windy March day, everyone’s energy skyrocketed that Sunday. Andrea? Oh, she was just so amazing, as she always is! This girl amazes me with her positivity, sincerity and warmheartedness. I am so glad that Nasim and I were a part of their Big Day!
Make up artist doing her thing! I wish I knew what it was, but it sure looks cool![]()

Gorgeous dress and shoes. I love how Andrea themed her wedding. I mean, Lodge, log rooms and mountains? You’ve got to love this girl!

Dan cleaned up pretty good, too. His brother Cory was his best man. It was so fun to watch these two joke around. I think I have never laughed so much before!

Seriously, I love Andrea’s mom. Once you talk to her, you will know where Andrea gets her charms![]()

Oh, and her dad is super amazing person! No words to describe…

I love this picture of Dan. He is so content and so in love.
Mr. And Mrs. Uehling!!

Two Corrie’s along with my favorite couple!

I just loved the decorations, the lodge mood and the cake! Andrea, you did a great job!
Love these shots my husband took. Nothing like witnessing moments like these along with your beloved better half![]()

First dance!
We wish you all the best in life, our dear friends! You are truly happy together and we can only wish you to have a long and prosperous life to share all the love with each other.

WebMonster - Guys, can you recomend us what flash to buy? I have no idea what flash to use and how to use it. Would you suggest something low-budget and good quality for my Canon? Thanks
Nasim Mansurov - WebMonster, what is your budget for a flash? There are many different options and you can buy flashes to be used only on your camera, or flashes that can be used both on and off-camera. The Canon 580EX II is the best flash you can buy for Canon, which has a PC sync port for off-camera flash work. There are other cheaper brands such as Vivitar that also work well, but not in TTL (through the lens) mode, so you would have to shoot in manual mode…
Vish - Hi, What lens did you use for the above photos?
Nasim Mansurov - Vish, sorry for a late response! We used a variety of lenses, including Nikon 50mm f/1.4G, Nikon 16-35mm f/4.0G, Nikon 85mm f/1.4D and Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8G VR II on Nikon D700 and D3s bodies.
Harry - Fantastic shots, Nasim and Lola. I am taking my first step towards wedding photography. There are lots of information available over the internet. But, I think I would value a few pieces of advice from you, in terms of what to look for, what to carry in the gear. I have a Nikon D90, 18-200mm VRII, 50mm f1.8, tamron 90mm f2.8, SB600 flash + gary fong lightsphere, Graduated ND8, & CPL. Do you recommend additional lenses/lighting gear to go with?
Take care and god bless you both.
Arlan - Nasim, Lola I’m really happy to know you, even by web. It’s so cool to have one interest and to improve your skill in these sphere. I’m glad because of knowing about you and your family. I’ve liked the photo’s from this wedding, especially 532, 1047, 1242, 315, 532, 1446, 1439, 1427. Did you used the flash in first dance and dance with her Dad?
Nasim Mansurov - Harry, sorry for a late response.
In terms of gear, I think you are all set for basic photography. The next step would be to invest in good lighting gear – off-camera strobes, reflectors, umbrellas and softboxes for different situations…
Hope this helps
Nasim Mansurov - Thank you Arlan! Yes, many of the photos indoors were taken with a flash (either on-camera bounced flash, or off-camera flash shot through an umbrella).
